Clubs on Show

In 2019 the funds from the Show were used to support:

native animal rescue

Native Animal Rescue is a not-for-profit, non-government incorporated body licensed under the name Fauna Rehabilitation Foundation. The Fauna Rehabilitation Foundation was founded in 1982 and has its headquarters based on a 15 hectare natural bush site in Malaga, Western Australia.

The AFD was very pleased to make a donation of much needed food for the animals in their care.

guide dogs wa

Guide Dogs WA is the only Western Australian based provider of Guide Dog training services in the community. Guide Dogs WA provides life changing Guide Dogs and Autism Assistance Dogs.

It takes over two years and costs more than $50,000 to train a Guide or Assistance Dog. Guide Dogs WA relies on the support of the community to provide these life changing services to Western Australians living with low vision, disability and illness.

They were in need of new fencing for training areas for dogs, and the AFD has covered the costs of these fences.

RDA Australia supports State and Associate Members to enable people living with disabilities or additional support needs to experience enjoyment, challenge and a sense of achievement through equestrian activities to improve their quality of life, attain personal goals and develop life skills.

The AFD has accepted a quote and subsequently authorised the supply and erection of new paddock fencing for the riding school.

Visability is supporting people with vision impairment across Western Australia to live the life they want, with confidence.

The AFD has met the costs to train a Guide Dog that will be named Ford.

Wheelchairs for Kids is a volunteer-based not-for-profit organisation providing the transformative gift of mobility to children in impoverished and under resourced communities both in Australia and around the globe.

The AFD has purchased a variety of metal tubing and components to enable this organisation to build wheelchairs for needy kids.
